Sharing Internet connections through EDGE modem:

People who uses internet by EDGE modem, if they want they can connected with  another pc which is in nearer distance. Let‘s we see how can we do this.

At first see the IP address of your LAN connection. Think it is (192.165.1.14). Connect your pc with your EDGE modem. From the system tray right click on that active connection & go to: Status > General > Properties > Advance > Internet connection sharing > Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection (put tick mark on it) > Ok

 
If you have more than one LAN connection then you will get a message. Confirm that from which connection you want to share. After that three messages will display continuously, confirm them by: Ok, Yes & Ok

Now go to status of LAN and from properties\status option go to General tab and select the Internet protocol (TCP/IP) from this connection uses the following items. Put the IP value 192.165.1.14 as default gateway address. Also put tick mark on Use the following DNS server address and as IP address of Preferred DNS server again write 192.165.1.14

From alternative DNS server’s put the IP value 192.165.1.15 and OK the all remaining options. Now it’s ready to share the connection. Similarly you can share your broad band connection also.
